HOGGS NOTICES

 

Johnston Cup (mixed pairs)

There is a SIGNUP SHEET for the annual Johnston Cup (mixed pairs) on our noticeboard . The event being on the 24th June, a Tuesday.  

Format is straight forward Stableford with both total scores making the team score. Men will be off the yellow Tees and ladies off the Red tees . It will be Non Qualifying/Non acceptable game but you can put your card in if you sign up for a general play round before the event.

 

Whilst there is an entry fee of £5pp there are plenty of prizes to be won. First prize The Johnston Cup plus £10pp. Runners up £5pp. Longest drive on the 3rd, nearest the pin on the 5th, nearest the line on the 12th  and another nearest the pin on the 17th.

 

I appreciate it's a little way off presently but these ladies take a little wooing if you want to get a particular one make a start by putting your name up and, if you've got a lady you can't live without, her name too.

 

If you want to play but can't get to the club to sign up just email me and I'll make sure you're on the sheet.

Seniors’ Championship

First Round – Wednesday 2nd July 2025

2nd (Final) round - Wednesday 9th July 2025

The HOGGS’ Seniors’ Championship is a scratch event over 2 rounds with the lowest aggregate 2-round gross score winning the championship. There is also a simultaneoushandicap competition with the lowest aggregate net score winning the handicap trophy. All Hill Barn senior members over 55 years of age (“HOGGS”) are welcome to play in the HOGGS’ Seniors’ Championship, subject to the following qualifying criterium :- All  entrants must have played in a minimum of 3 HOGGS singles competitions within the period 1 January to Monday 30 June 2025 (with such results showing in Howdidido. NRs & Disqualifications will not count).

 

HOGGS Scratch Challenge

Wednesday 27 August 2025

The Scratch Challenge is a single round scratch event with the lowest gross score winning. All Hill Barn senior members over 55 years of age (“HOGGS”) are welcome to play in the Scratch Challenge, subject to the following qualifying criterium :- All entrants must have played in a minimum of 3 HOGGS singles competitions within the period 1 January to Monday 25 August 2025 (with such results showing in Howdidido.NRs & Disqualifications will not count).
