New Members Wishing to Obtain an Official Handicap

To take part in club competitions you will need an official World Handicap Index. If you do not already have an official handicap index and wish to obtain one, please contact the Handicap Secretary, or any Committee member, who will advise you how to proceed and arrange help for you to achieve it. We can arrange for you to play in events with us and help you complete the three scorecards you will need to submit in order to get your official handicap.  

If you already have a handicap index this can be transferred over to Hill Barn by the Handicap Secretary. Please inform the Pro Shop or Handicap Secretary. 

Men's Membership Fees

To cover the cost of administering the Men's Section there is an annual “Men's Membership Fee”. This is payable by all Hill Barn Golf Club members who wish to join the Men's Section. This fee is due in March each year and is set at the AGM. The current fee is £40. Only members of the Men's Section are able to take part in competitions, club matches and social events organised by the Section.

General Competition Rules and Local Rules

The General Competition Rules and Local Rules for Hill Barn Golf Club are published on the Men’s Notice Board in the locker room.  

Annual General Meeting (AGM)

The Annual General Meeting is normally held in early March in the Clubhouse. New members are most welcome to come along and participate. The new Captain and Committee hold office from this date. The previous year’s competition trophies are also presented during the AGM.
