Stableford

A Stableford competition is a golf format in which the object is to get the highest points score. In a Stableford competition, players are awarded points based on their nett scores in relation to a fixed score at each hole. That fixed score is normally Par although this can be varied by the Committee. In this competition you use your handicap allowance on each relevant hole, rather than in stroke play where you take your handicap allowance off at the end of the game.

Scoring is as follows:

More than one over net Par or no score returned - 0 Points
One over nett Par - 1 Point
Nett Par - 2 Points
One under nett Par - 3 Points
Two under nett Par - 4 Points
Three under nett Par - 5 Points
Four under nett Par - 6 Points
