​Hill Barn Golf Club Men's Section

The HOGGS is Hill Barn Golf Club's Seniors' Section.  The HOGGS Committee would like to remind all male members of Hill Barn Golf Club that they automatically become a member of the HOGGS on reaching age 55.

 

All members of the HOGGS are eligible to play in and win any HOGGS competition once they fulfil the general Club rule of having completed a minimum of three cards in any (Men's Section or HOGGS) handicap qualifying competition.

 

The only exceptions to this are the Seniors' Championship and the Scratch Cup.  These two competitions do not have a Bennett Cup equivalent for qualification.  Instead, any HOGGS member who has played in at least three HOGGS competitions over the previous 9 months is qualified to enter.  This qualification rule will be reviewed at the Antler Meeting on 7th November 2022 which all HOGGS members are welcome to attend.

 

The HOGGS organises Monthly Medals and around 25 other competitions during the year as well as Club matches and occasional other events including knockouts.  There is organised golf every Monday and Wednesday (except bank holidays).  Booking can be made via HowDidIDo by all HOGGS members.  Additional information is available on the HOGGS notice board in the locker room, in the HOGGS diary (available free on request) and on the HOGGS pages of the Hill Barn Members' website.  We also have an emailing list which provides regular updates on HOGGS activities.  If you do not currently receive updates and would like to be added to the emailing list, please send a request to martynmclennan@btinternet.com.
